The FTTH Conference 2017 receives the high patronage of Mr François Hollande, President of the French Republic

The FTTH Council Europe is pleased to announce that the FTTH Conference 2017, which will take place from 14 to 16 February 2017 in Marseille, France, has received the high patronage of Mr François Hollande, President of the French Republic. The event will also be held under the patronage of the City of Marseille.

This high patronage shows the support of the French Presidency to the largest FTTH-focused event in the world. In France, policy makers have been strong FTTH advocates in the last few years, including the national government with its “France Très Haut Débit” plan and local authorities, also heavily involved in fibre rollout. The "French model", and feedback from local fibre projects, both public and private, should be of great interest to project leaders and international investors.

Ronan Kelly, President of the FTTH Council Europe, says: "We are honoured that the FTTH Conference 2017 has gained the support of the President of the French Republic, showing the government's involvement in the promotion of fibre and its positive impact on society, environment and competitiveness. Ubiquitous, fibre-based connectivity is the only future-proof foundation enabling the fixed and mobile Gigabit networks required to build a Gigabit society in Europe. We are very eager to meet at the FTTH Conference 2017 stakeholders and experts of fibre deployment from all over Europe, and particularly from France!"

Registrations for the FTTH Conference 2017 are now open. The all-inclusive entrance fee combines workshops, conferences and exhibition hall with first-class catering over a three-day period. Participants can benefit from an early bird rate until 31 December 2016.

More information about the FTTH Conference as well as photos and videos of the 13th edition in Luxembourg are available on the event website: www.ftthconference.eu
